The ZFRF family would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the walkers, teams, sponsors and partners that participated in the 1st ZFRF Annual Battle Cancel walk on Sunday, April 28th. We had an extremely successful event! Thanks to all of you, we not only met our fundraising goal, but surpassed it raising $5,301 in total.
That total will allow the foundation to provide meaningful assistance to a significant number of local families as they battle the burdens that come from cancer. Thank you for helping to improve these families lives.
We will be setting the date for our 2014 walk soon! We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate and plan next year’s event. If you are interested in helping, please let us know.
My name is Paul Ziemniarski and was diagnosed with Acute Promyelotic Leukemia (APL) in 2010. I was immediately admitted to the hospital and spent the next thirty days there. While in the hospital I received a lot of support from family and friends. Everyone wanted to help in any way, including helping my wife with our children. People offered to assist us financially as well as with food and other miscellaneous items; this is what gave me a great idea…. I wanted to find a way of helping others in similar situations. Thus, the Ziemniarski Family Resource Foundation was born. The Ziemniarski Family Resource Foundation’s (ZFRF) mission is to assist families with relief for some of the burden that cancer treatment causes. Our focus is to help families experiencing similar situations with cancer. ZFRF would like to help families cope with their everyday life by providing items such as, gas, groceries, clothes, etc. Because we strongly believe in “paying it forward” volunteers and donations of any kind are always welcome. ZFRF is a 501c3 public charity
